      This was an interesting side trip. The pelican’s are quite odd and ungainly. Polo wasn’t exactly sure how old Juanito was, but he was part of his family, for sure. There are always better ways to say things.

And you’ve saved me a lot of money by me not having to go to Uruguay myself and seeing it in person. The pictures are a nice plus so we can see some of the things you write about!       thanks for following. Mazatlan looks to be favorable. It will be a short trip but probably have as many interesting sights as this trip. We need to check – I have heard there are Aztec ruins somewhere near Mazatlan that would make a good day trip into the past.

      It is great. Have been a little food deprived the last month so this is like going to heaven. The food is less expensive and more to my liking, and the buffet makes the hotel cost even a better deal. You can go all day on this meal and it gets you ready for tours or whatever you want to do.

          no, doing much better with my time clock. leaving tomorrow at ten thirty so I will have breakfast here ,and then get a taxi to the airport. I do get up by seven though and you would be surprised how few people are awake and active then. Looking forward to Mazatlan in January. That and Arizona will be a shorter trip for me. I need to take a break from my break.

    Absolutely crazy about his artwork.The house made my hands itchy, wanted to get out and mix up some mortar.The disposable picture with the curving shirt and reflected color was great.     Suggested viewing … watch the movie “Alive” about an Uruguayan soccer or rugby team, on the way to a match in Chile, whose plane crashed in the Andes in the 1970s. I’m not sure of the length of these survivors’ ordeal but it was longer than sixteen days.

    At first glance I thought this pic was of you! It sounds like you’re doing what I used to in mexico..i.e. go out walking and talk to the natives! Lol. In fact, I had a regular route and enjoyed trying out my Spanish and the Mexicans enjoyed practicing their english. Can’t even estimate how many hours I spent sitting with Tomas by the San Carlos marina gas docks chatting while he waited for boats to pull up! I especially like your posts with pictures of people! I remember when we were kids we thought having pictures with people in them…ruined them…..but now I realize that having people in pictures really makes them better! Keep your posts coming…..I loOK forward to see where you’ve been each day!
